It is with great pride and heartfelt warmth that I welcome you to the 139th Annual Session of the United Supreme Council, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation, Southern Jurisdiction, USA. This year, we gather once again in the storied city of Memphis, Tennessee—a place where history and culture are woven into every street, every note of music, and every step toward progress.
Memphis, celebrated as the birthplace of the blues and a pivotal center of the civil rights movement, stands as a living testament to resilience, faith, and the enduring power of unity. From the hallowed halls of the National Civil Rights Museum to the vibrant soul of Beale Street, this city reminds us of our duty to honor the past while shaping a brighter future.
Under our guiding theme, “Rebuilding the Rite, Stone by Stone,” we recommit ourselves to strengthening our traditions, deepening our bonds, and advancing our mission. Each of you—through your presence, service, and dedication—plays a vital role in this great work, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
